Woody Woody, African Grey, Chief of Staff.  Woody has been at Broadway Animal Hospital for over 10 years and currently serves as Chief of Staff.  His duties include answering the telephone, the intercom, singing Happy Birthday and impersonating Dr. Kasmersky.  He loves language, fried chicken and telling people “you’re ugly” :).    In his free time, he pursues his intellectual curiosities and increasing his vocabulary size.    “Use what talents you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.”   Henry Van Dyke
Cindy Cindy, Hospital Administrator/Manager.  Born and raised on the Northwest Side of Chicago, she lived in the City until 6 years ago.  She now resides in the “Southland”.  She shares her home with her youngest son, a very sweet geriatric dog, “Missy” and 2 adorable cats, “Payton” and “Jordan” (no Chicago connection there, huh?).  Cindy also has a daughter and an older son who are grown with families of their own.  That makes Cindy a proud grandma of 4 beautiful grandchildren!  She has worked at Broadway Animal Hospital for nearly as long as Dr. Kasmersky and will celebrate her 19th anniversary this August.  When not working, she enjoys time spent with family and friends, reading and listening to music and watching “da Bears”.  “I love the fact that, even after all this time, each day brings something new, different and challenging!”
Karen Karen, Hospital Manager.  I've loved animals my entire life and have had everything from a duck to horses. Presently my life is run by "Baby Kitty" and "Spanky", my two 9 year old female cats. When I began working with Dr. Kas at Broadway Animal Hospital 15 years ago, I felt like I found my second home. "My greatest reward is being able to share in the bond that our clients have with their pets."
Alan Alan, Veterinary Technician  After a long and successful career in training and management, Alan switched gears and decided that working with animals was his real passion.  He has been a veterinarian assistant for the past 18 months and plans to return to school to attain a veterinarian technician degree.  Alan has a 6 month old spaniel mix named “Cooper”, found abandoned in the neighborhood at just 2 months of age, who keeps him very busy.  Cooper has become the new man in Alan’s life! “I never did mind about the little things."   Bridget Fonda in "Point of No Return"
Danny Danny, Veterinary Assistant.   Danny has worked with animals for the past 5-6 years, and has worked with Dr. Kasmersky and Dr. Hauk since July, 2008.  His favorite breeds of dogs are Pitbulls and Mastiffs, and some of his favorite things are tattoos, rap music and ice cream cake.  One day he hopes to work with monkeys.  “Lean Treats taste just like they smell.”
Melissa Melissa, Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist. Melissa, has worked as a veterinary assistant for 5 years, but has just recently moved to Chicago with her husband Nathan. She is originally from the Kansas City, MO area and obtained a degree in General Biology from Missouri State University. She has one very special miniature Schnauzer named Gracie. Her hobbies and interests include: Theatre(Nathan is an actor.), hiking, camping, dog agility, and movies. She loves her job and could not imagine working anywhere where she is not surrounded by animals!
Jessica Danielle, Receptionist. Danielle grew up in the Northwest suburbs with her faithful beagle, Socks. She is currently going to Loyola University where she is a Biology major with a French minor. She has been working at Broadway Animal Hospital as a receptionist since spring 2009. She enjoys spending her spare time outside with her bunny Snowflake and playing the clarinet.
